Breast Augmentation - What Expenses?
Most of us instantly recognize that there is the cost of the surgeon, which on average is around $3,500, but that's just to start. Additional costs include anesthesia fees, hospital fees, operating room and recover room fees, tests, prescriptions, and post surgery garments that will be required.
On average, the total is usually around $7,000, but of course, it can vary depending on where you live and who your surgeon is. Most of us just can't pull $7,000 out of a hat, which is why there are finance plans offered by most plastic surgeons, not just for breast augmentation, but for other surgical procedures that aren't generally covered by health insurance.
You surgeon may finance directly or he/she may have arrangements with a financial institution. Of course, you will have to fill out an application and pass their criteria.
Only a decade ago, most breast augmentation was seen in Hollywood, and today it's affordable to almost all women. So, if you've always wanted to update your breasts, why not book an appointment with your plastic surgeon for a consultation. It's the first step to a new you!

Breast Augmentation Paid for by the Aussie Navy
It seems they claim that the breast implants were not paid for so that female sailors could look better. Rather to improve their self-esteem and how they felt about themselves.
Brig Nikolic, a spokesperson for the military, says, “We do consider the broader needs of our people, both physical and psychological.”
Now, whether it’s right or wrong that the military is paying for breast augmentation isn’t really the issue. Instead, I’m thinking wouldn’t it be wonderful if in the future, breast implants became a part of our benefit packages at work?
Think about it – it would be like dental coverage. Perhaps this year you’d just have a “lift and separate,” but next year you might go from a B cup to a D cup. Wait five years later; it seems you’d prefer to be a C cup.
Wouldn’t it be great if all you had to do was pay your deductible, and you could have the breasts you always wanted.
But wait – think about this – perhaps liposuction and face lifts could be covered too. I mean isn’t it good for our mental health to be 50 and look 30? I think there’s a lot of potential here.
According to the Australian navy’s spokesperson, paying for breast augmentation isn’t routine, and it’s done only when it will benefit
psychologically, producing a better female soldier. That’s not to say that their new look isn’t going to be enjoyed by many.
Here’s the kicker. The plastic surgeon who did the breast augmentation on two of the female soldiers said it cost $10,000 for each. It certainly shows that the Navy either has too much money on its hands or doesn’t know how to use it correctly. But that’s another story. For women it’s about much more.
Ladies we can begin to dream about the day our benefit packages just might cover breast enlargements or reductions, and for many of us that simply don’t have the money for the procedure, we just might be able to get “the girl’s" we want.
Then again, if we don’t feel like waiting, maybe it’s time to join the Australian navy?
Breast Implant Warranty
Mentor prides themselves in their customer service and willingness to assist patients however they can. They also offer a true patient warranty on all of their breast implants. It all begins with a lifetime replacement policy.
This lifetime replacement applies to anyone who has Mentor breast implants, and the age of the implant doesn’t matter.
Rupturing will result in a free replacement. It may also include financial assistance for the replacement of the implant. The surgeon is required to request the replacement implant. Almost all of the reputable manufacturers provide a very similar warranty.
These companies make a commitment to you past the day of your surgery. Besides the warranty, many offer a hotline so that you can have all of your questions answered in a timely manner.
This can relieve a great deal of anxiety, especially in the earlier days. Sure, your surgeon will be happy to answer any questions, but the hotline is so convenient, with no wait time.
Your surgeon will discuss the breast implant warranty with you before the date of your breast augmentation surgery. Because most of the warranties are similar, the implants used for you are chosen because they are suitable for your particular breast augmentation.

Women Go Overseas For Breast Implant Bargains
Breast implants in countries like Costa Rica, India, and Singapore can cost half as much as they do at home. That means you can pay for your trip and still save a bundle.
Some would have you believe that you are putting your health at risk by doing this, and with some plastic surgeons in some countries that might be the case, but the surgeons in other countries will receive comparable care. In fact, you may find facilities that are superior to ours in the United States. It is truly a case of doctor versus doctor.
However, if you are considering going overseas for breast implants to save some money, it is important that you do your homework, so that you know and understand what type of care you will be getting. Your health and safety can be at risk if you do not do your homework properly.
One more consideration is that after you're home and healing, your doctor is thousands of miles away. Should a complication arise, you will have to rely on U.S. facilities and physicians.
More than a half million Americans head overseas for surgical procedures each year so the idea isn’t a new one, but it is only in recent years that women are taking advantage of these savings for breast implants.
Both saline and silicone implants are available around the world, so if you are considering going overseas for implants just be sure you do your homework.

Breast Implant Prices
When we want to sum up the total costs of the operation we have to take into consideration breast implant prices, anesthesia, pre- and post-operative care, surgical facility fees, medications, and the actual breast implant cost. The price of the breast implant also depends on the state in which the surgery is conducted and this can be considered as a major factor when determining the price of the operation. When you compare different breast implant prices you should very importantly consider the expertise and reputation of the plastic surgeon and the kind of care that he will provide you. You may feel like cutting down on the breast implant prices as much as possible, but do not do this, as you need the best treatment worth your money in return. Your main aim should be to achieve the best results possible and the breast implant price should not be the deciding factor. There are times when some surgeons advertise prices that are too low to be true and actually have many hidden costs and extra charges. You need to be very careful in singling out the best surgeon and best kind of implant for you.
All the prospective breast implant patients should know this clearly that the breast implant price as only one part of the whole. Do not go in for a physician who makes you uncomfortable just because he is charging a low fee. You cannot put your life at stake for some amount of money. First analyze properly, decide yourself what you want to do and then take an action. Consider each and every aspect of a breast implant 10 times before making a decision and do not let the money factor demotivate you.

Breast Implant Prices
A breast implant surgeon can help you decide if breast augmentation is really for you. During this meeting, the patient has the chance to ask questions about the surgery itself, the risks associated with an implant procedure, and details about the recovery process. Most breast implant surgeons charge a fee for the consultation appointment. This can be as much or even more than $200.
Your breast implant surgeon should be able to discuss breast implant prices with you in detail. The cost of the procedure will depend on a variety of factors including geographical location and surgeon reputation. Your body type may also affect the breast implant price. After the consultation, the surgeon will be able to give you an accurate figure.
Although low cost breast implants and augmentation surgery may be enticing, finding a cheap breast augmentation quote should not be your primary goal when selecting a cosmetic surgeon. There are several reasons why choosing a surgeon who offers breast augmentation prices at a dramatically reduced cost can be a bad decision.
Choosing a surgeon based on fees instead of credentials can leave you with less than satisfactory results. The ideal surgeon is one who is board certified, experienced, and professional. You should feel that he or she is paying attention to your opinions and concerns and will put your best interests first. In most cases, this type of surgeon does not have to offer discounts to attract patients.

Breast Implant Prices
Cosmetic surgery is a booming business nowadays. Nose jobs, breast implants and facelifts are just a few of the ever-expanding cosmetic enhancement offerings of plastic surgeons nationwide.
Breast augmentation is actually the most performed cosmetic surgeries today in the U.S. The undeniable pedestal we as Americans have placed the female breast on is nonetheless a phenomenon to be pondered and studied. But that is for another discussion!
What Does Breast Augmentation Cost?
Breast augmentation, on average, costs about $5,000. Depending on who performs the surgery or where the surgery is performed also plays a part in the complete price of the surgery. Another factor is the method of implantation or type of implant chosen.
Methods of Breast Implant Insertion and Incision
1.) Transumbilical - This is one of the less opted for and less offered methods of implantation. This may be due to its more complicated nature (insertion through the belly button), and a smaller amount of surgeons being trained on and willing to offer this particular method of insertion. Its advantages are that it results in very minimal scarring and no scars whatsoever around the actual breast area. Its disadavantages MAY be higher risk of implant migration. This means the implant may be displaced easily due to the placement used in this technique.
I say "MAY" because this common theory has not been proven yet, although it makes logical sense and does occur more frequently in patients with this type of insertion.
2.) Areolar (around the nipple) - This is becoming more popular as a method of augmentation due to low scar visibility. Although it may seem counterintuitive, the incision scar is barely visible on most women after completely healing due to the exceptional healing capacity of the particular skin around the nipple (the areola). So, although the incision occurs in a very obvious place on the breast, the scarring is so minimal that most women are very happy with the overall results when completely healed.
3.) Side or bottom of the breast - This is not as popular any more, since the scarring is often pretty obvious, and does not heal as quickly as areolar breast augmentations do. This type of incision is kind of fading out now that surgeons are coming up with newer and less visible techniques that look better and more natural.
What to Look For in a Surgeon for Breast Augementation
First off, make sure your surgeon is board certified by the ABPS, or American Board of Plastic Surgery. Do NOT always go with the cheapest. The cheapest surgeons are usually cheap for a reason. Breast implants are devices you will have for ten years if all goes well. It just isn't worth saving a thousand dollars or so if you aren't happy with the results. These will be with you for a long time!
If you're looking for discounted surgery from reputable surgeons, there are some good websites that offer discounted prices through contracted surgeons that have agreed to offer a lower price when referred through these sites. Most times the discount is about $500.
Be sure you communicate to your surgeon the desired outcome of your surgery. For example, do you want more natural looking implants that hang lower like real breasts, and are not too big, or do you want higher, rounder and bigger breasts akin to the type seen on Playboy models or adult film actresses? It sounds silly, but there are people who desire both, and your doctor needs to know exactly what you want.
Finally, if you decide that surgery just isn't for you, or that you really don't want to risk looking fake or having harder breasts that just don't feel like "you", there are several natural options out there that will help you grow your own breast tissue gradually. Many women have done it successfully, and actually gained 1-3 cup sizes. The best part about this particular option is that it's 100% YOU.
